Swedes are getting ready to celebrate Valborg tonight.
Valborg is a celebration about the end of winter weather with many outdoor bonfire planned across the country. Everyone gathers around the fire and sings traditional songs to welcome in the spring season. Some enjoy a picnic dinner. The ancient bonfire tradition is meant to scare away evil spirits, witches and demons.
Carrie has invited us to celebrate this special event at Piteå tonight. I am looking forward to our meeting again!
